Are you prepared for a hurricane? Hurricane Season typically runs June through November in Hawai`i.
If you already have a hurricane prep kit packed and near the door for easy access, good for you! You’re one step ahead. You just have to freshen it up by checking your batteries, flashlights, food and water. If you don’t have an emergency kit, do it now. It will be too late when you have to scramble later. And if you haven’t created a Family Emergency Plan, there’s an excellent one form the U.S. Department of Homeland Security complete with pocket cards for your kids to carry.
